The University of Southern California recommends all students, faculty, staff, and visitors to USC facilities or classrooms adhere to the following guidelines. We encourage you to visit the USC COVID-19 Resource Center or reach out to your program administrator for more details.

We want to share important reminders with the community to continue to take precautions regarding COVID-19 in our campus communities.

We strongly recommend wearing medical-grade masks or respirator masks (including surgical, N95, KN95, KF94) when indoors around others to reduce transmission and risk of infection. Masking is most effective when there is both a good fit (no gaps, covering the nose, mouth, chin) and good filtration. 

PRE-ARRIVAL

All students, faculty and staff are advised to test (1-2 days) prior to traveling to campus. Monitor your symptoms and use an antigen test (home kit) if that is most easily accessible resource for you. Home kits are available at no cost via mail through the U.S. Postal Service. 

ARRIVAL TO CAMPUS

After arriving to campus, please continue to monitor yourself for any symptoms. Should you begin to feel sick or unwell, or if you test positive for COVID-19, email your program administrator and please remain off campus and isolate.

FAQ

• Do I need to wear a mask on campus?
  • Face coverings are not mandated on USC Campus. This means classrooms, labs, and dining areas. However, we highly recommend you have one with you just in case. Read more in the USC Resource Center update here.
• What happens if I get a positive COVID-19 result during my On Campus program? 
  • If you begin taking your course and find yourself feeling unwell, or you receive a positive COVID-19 test result, email your program administrator and please do not return to campus. You can still continue to take the course using our Online-Interactive Den@Viterbi resources.
